Logicalis appoints new Australian CEO, Anthony Woodward

London | 1 July 2021
 – Logicalis, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, today announces the appointment of a new regional CEO for the Australian market. Anthony Woodward is announced as Australia CEO, succeeding current Australia CEO and Logicalis Group COO, Michael Chanter, who has held the position of Australia CEO for the last five years.

Anthony joins Logicalis at a period of significant transformational change for the organisation, with ambitious goals to evolve their revenue mix towards Cloud Managed Services and continued growth in the Microsoft business.

Anthony brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the tech sector as CEO, Executive and Non-Executive Director and Founder. As founder and CEO of Bulletproof (now part of AC3), Anthony took the organisation from start-up in 2000, to a listed entity on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). During its listed phase, he led the company through significant growth, extending its lead in the Australia/NZ markets with Managed public and private cloud services. The business grew to a staff of almost 200, servicing over 700 customers with total revenues of c.AU$50m in the FY2017 year, before being acquired by AC3 in mid-2018.

Joining on 1st July, Anthony will be based in Sydney and report to Robert Bailkoski, Logicalis Group CEO. Outgoing Logicalis Australia CEO Michael Chanter has been appointed Chairman of the Australian business and will remain in-country until mid-2022.

Chanter remarks: "Australia remains a critical territory for Logicalis Group with significant investments including the Group's Cloud Centre of Excellence and, introducing a new CEO mid-year, stability is critical as we navigate leadership changes".

On his successor, Chanter states: "I am delighted to have Anthony's entrepreneurial leadership and deep experience in scaling organisations for growth. As we embark on the next chapter of transformational growth in our global business, in which Australia plays a significant role, I look forward to working alongside Anthony as he transitions into the role".

Logicalis Group CEO Robert Bailkoski adds: "Anthony brings a wealth of experience in driving growth and investment in the organisations he has set up and run. As we seek to scale and grow our business, becoming more agile in how we do things, I'm excited about the skills and 'start-up' mindset Anthony will bring to the Group.

On his appointment, Woodward said: "I'm excited to join Bob, Michael and the team at Logicalis Australia to help elevate the business during such a critical time in the organisation's history. Organisations globally are facing unprecedented change, requiring the expertise and service of Logicalis on their transformation journey. I believe there is a significant opportunity ahead of us, and I look forward to bringing the experience I have gained building and scaling organisations in this dynamic space as we set out to capture that growth."
